Privacy Policy
1. Introduction
This Privacy Policy describes how AECT Services (“we”, “us”) processes information when you use Hourdesk at hourdesk.app and its free calculators. Where applicable law uses that term, we act as the controller (or equivalent) for personal data processed through the site.
We will post an updated effective date when this policy changes. Site terms: Terms & Conditions.
2. Summary
- Most calculator inputs stay on your device. We do not require an account for core tools.
- We may use cookies and similar technologies for essential function, analytics, and advertising.
- In the EEA/UK, non-essential cookies load only with your consent.
- Change choices anytime on Cookie settings.
3. Data we process

We do not intend to collect employer or employee names in analytics, and we do not send full timesheet grids to third parties.
4. Purposes and legal bases
Where GDPR/UK GDPR applies, we rely on:
- Consent — non-essential analytics and advertising cookies in the EEA/UK (and similar opt-in regions).
- Legitimate interests — operating and securing the site, abuse prevention, and essential on-device preferences you choose to save.
- Legal obligation — where we must retain or disclose information to comply with law.
5. Cookies and similar technologies
Essential
Required for basic site function, optional on-device calculator preferences, and the consent choice record. These are not used for advertising profiling.
Analytics
Helps us understand how the site is used. Loaded only when analytics is enabled in deployment and allowed by your consent choice where opt-in is required.
Advertising
Used to deliver and measure ads. Loaded only when advertising is enabled and allowed by your consent choice where required.
Manage choices on Cookie settings or via your browser. Typical analytics cookie lifetimes are up to about two years; advertising cookies vary by vendor (often up to about 13 months). Local preferences remain until you clear storage.
6. Third parties
Calculator math runs in your browser. We do not send your timesheet grids to vendors. If we enable analytics or ads, Google may receive technical data under its policies. Our hosting or CDN provider may log IP addresses and basic request metadata when you visit the site. Affiliate partners are listed only if we add outbound tracking later.
7. International transfers
The operator is based in the Philippines. If Google or hosting providers process data in other countries (for example the US), they use their own transfer safeguards (such as standard contractual clauses) where required.
8. Retention
- Hosting logs: per host retention (commonly up to 30–90 days unless configured otherwise).
- Analytics: per vendor property settings (commonly up to 14 months unless changed).
- Local calculator data and consent record: until you clear browser storage or update consent.
9. Your rights
- EEA/UK: access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection, portability, withdraw consent, and complain to a supervisory authority.
- US state laws (including CCPA/CPRA): rights such as know, delete, and opt out of sale or share of personal information may apply. We do not sell personal information for money. Advertising technologies may constitute “sharing” for cross-context behavioral advertising; opt out via Cookie settings (reject non-essential) and your browser or platform controls.
- Australia: access and correction under the Australian Privacy Principles where applicable.
- Philippines: rights under the Data Privacy Act / NPC rules where applicable.
Because most calculator data stays on your device, you can delete it by clearing site storage. For analytics or ads data held by vendors, we will help relay requests where we can identify relevant records.
To exercise privacy rights, email [email protected]. We aim to respond within one month where GDPR/UK GDPR applies, or as required by other applicable law.
10. Children
This site is not directed at children under 13 (US) or under the digital consent age in other regions (for example 16 under GDPR where applicable). We do not knowingly collect children’s personal data.
11. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures, including HTTPS in production. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure. If we become aware of a breach that requires notice, we will notify affected users and authorities as required by law.
12. Changes
We will post an updated policy with a new effective date. Material changes that require re-consent for cookies will be handled through Cookie settings / the consent banner where applicable.

14. Relationship to calculator disclaimers
