Timesheet Calculator
Fill a weekday column grid with decimal hours, Calculate for row and column totals, and export the full grid as CSV. Weekday grid — not dated punch rows.
Ready when you Calculate
Fill the weekday grid and press Calculate to see totals and estimated pay.
How it works
A timesheet calculator totals a Mon–Sun weekday grid of decimal hours — with optional local row labels — into row totals, column totals, and a grand total, then exports CSV for spreadsheets or payroll prep. It is a grid tool, not dated punch rows. Add up to 25 rows with Mon–Sun cells (0–24), then Calculate; math stays in your browser.
Simple mode is hours-only. Custom mode can estimate gross pay from weekday column totals using an hourly rate and thresholds. Labels stay on your device and are not packed into share links.
Quick steps
- Add a row and optional local label (for example a project or person).
- Enter decimal hours in Mon–Sun cells (0–24 per cell).
- Add more rows as needed (up to 25).
- Keep Simple for hours-only, or Custom to estimate pay from weekday totals.
- Press Calculate, then export CSV when you need a spreadsheet paste.
When to use this tool
Use Timesheet for weekday hour grids and CSV export. Use Time Card when you have dated clock-in/out punches, and Decimal Hours when you only need hh:mm ↔ decimal conversion.
Worked example
One row with 8 hours Mon–Fri totals 40 hours for the week. Column totals match each weekday; CSV export includes the label column (local only) and neutralized cells.
Methodology & assumptions
Cell values are decimal hours you enter (not parsed punch times). Row and column totals are plain sums; Custom pay estimates apply rate and OT thresholds to weekday column totals via the shared pay engine. CSV export is for planning — not a certified payroll file. See calculation methodology.
FAQ
- Hours-only vs pay — what is the difference?
- Simple mode sums decimal weekday hours only and does not estimate pay. Custom mode can apply an hourly rate (and thresholds) to weekday column totals for a gross estimate. Switch modes when you need pay versus hours export.
- Are row labels included in share links?
- No. Optional labels and hour cells stay local (or in localStorage on this device). Share links encode mode and rule settings only.
- How is this different from Time Card?
- Timesheet uses a Mon–Sun weekday hour grid. Time Card uses dated punch rows (clock in, clock out, break) for a pay period.
